Earthquakes in the Chianti area

The educational seismic station LA GILBERTA tonight recorded two new earthquakes in the Chianti region  southwest of Florence (latest updates are available at INGVTerremoti blog). This sequence is a follow-up of a previous swarm started in December 2014.

LA GILBERTA detected both major earthquakes: ML 3.3, occurred at 00:51 local time, and  Mw 3.7, 10 minutes later.  Here we show the waveforms of the horizontal ground velocity recorded by the SEP seismometer.
